They're back!

From the CBC:
"Forwards Alexei Ponikarovsky (dislocated shoulder) and Chad Kilger (personal reasons) are expected back in the lineup. Nik Antropov (suspension) and Alex Steen (shoulder) returned in Saturday's 3-2 win over Detroit."
That should help out the lineup a little bit, the Leafs have been good over their injured stretch though, maybe having young guys who give a shit helped more than their lack of experience and talent hurt. Here's hoping Poni and Kilger have a strong showing tonight. Go Leafs go!

Or maybe not, from The Star:
"Alexei Ponikarovsky, a mere three weeks after suffering a dislocated shoulder during a game at Washington, will be back in the Maple Leafs' lineup tonight.
...

Chad Kilger, though ready to play after taking five days off for personal reasons, will sit out again tonight."

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens, also from that article:

"Ponikarovsky's return might mean that Kyle Wellwood is bounced to the press box as a healthy scratch.

...

Ponikarovsky, who missed just seven games, said he can't explain why he is able to come back so soon. He said perhaps his shoulder wasn't hurt as badly as first suspected or maybe he's reaping the benefits of a dedicated off-season training that included a rigorous summer weight lifting program. The 27-year-old has shoulders like bowling balls."

Maybe Wellwood could learn something from Ponikarovsky and work out harder in the offseason, or maybe Welly did work out hard in the offseason and his crazy dad threw him under the bus for no reason. Who knows?

Maybe Wellwood is actually listening to the calls of "Tank Leafs Tank" and he's just contributing to that?

That's what I'm telling myself, anyway.
