Why We're Cheering for Montreal Tonight

A Montreal win and an Ottawa loss drops Ottawa to fourth in the Eastern Conference. It also helps in the Stampede for Stamkos, especially since Edmonton won last night. This isn't a long or particularly in depth post, I just don't feel the same way about beating Montreal in the regular season as I do about beating Ottawa.

Ottawa sucks.

Nothing feels worse than losing to them and nothing feels better than beating them.

Ah yes, but look at it this way, the reasons to root for Toronto tonight are:

- Feels good to beat Montreal

The reasons to root against Toronto tonight are:

- Closer to Stamkos.
- Help dethrone the Senators, and take away they only thing they're good at - finishing first in the east.

So, the schadenfreude from toppling Ottawa will cancel out feeling bad about losing to Montreal, and we'll be closer to Stamkos. Go Habs go! (I still hate you Montreal).

Shit, sorry Chem. I meant my comment about Ottawa.

Then tonight we beat Ottawa by proxy! Go Panthers! Go Habs! Go Raycroft!

This still feels like a bizarro-world type thing. In that case: Domi hate Leafs very little. Domi think Matt Stajan very ugly. Domi think Andy Wozniewski should be brought back to the team and made Alternate captain.
